Classic Lasagna

Cook Time: 45 minutes
Makes: 8 servings.
 

Ingredients:
 

1 pound ground beef

2 packages Lawry's® Original Style Spaghetti Sauce Spices & Seasonings

1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce

1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes with juice, undrained

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 12 oz.), divided

1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 1/2 teaspoons Lawry's® Garlic Powder with Parsley

9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

 
Directions:
 

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

 

2. In 12-inch skillet, brown ground beef; drain, if desired. Stir in Lawry's® Original Spaghetti Sauce Spices & Seasonings, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 10 minutes.

 

3. In large bowl, combine 2 cups mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and Garlic Powder; set aside.

 

4. In 13 x 9-inch baking dish, layer 1/4 of the meat sauce, then 3 noodles and 1/3 of the cheese mixture; repeat layers two times, ending with meat sauce.

 

5. Bake 30 minutes. Top with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese, then bake an additional 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and heated through. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
